We produce silver wires in Ag 925‰, 935‰, 999‰, in various sizes, with excellent characteristics of linearity and high quality standards Ideal for use by both small artisans and large industries.

We produce the following types of wire:

Round wire

Round wire can be supplied in soft-annealed, hard-drawn and semi-hard-drawn physical state. The corresponding hardness values are listed in the table below. Specific hardnesses are also available upon request as special orders.

The sizes available range from a maximum diameter of 7mm to a minimum diameter of 0,20mm. For diameters over 7mm please refer to the section on this website dedicated to rods.

The standard interval sizes for La.Met round wires are as follows:

from ø 7,00 to 3,50mm: 0,25mm intervals – tolerance ± 0,06 – hanks internal ø 400mm.
from ø 3,40 to 1,00mm: 0,10mm intervals – tolerance ± 0,04 – hanks internal ø 200mm.
from ø 1,00 to 0,40mm: 0,05mm intervals – tolerance ± 0,01 – hanks internal ø 200mm or on reels.
from ø 0,35 to 0,20mm: 0,05mm – tolerance ± 0,006 – only on reels.

Half-round wire

Half-round wire can be supplied in soft-annealed and semi-hard-drawn physical state.

Half-round wire is understood as wire with a profile equiovalent to half of a cricle, thus the height is exactly half of the diameter.

La.Met half-round wire is available in standard sizes from 6x3mm to 1,5×0,75mm with intervals if 0,10mm (referring to diameter) wound in hanks as per round wire above. Tolerance values are approx +/- 0,05mm.

Square wire

Square wire from rolling mill with rounded edges (only available in soft-annealed state) is manufactured in the following sizes: 8,7 – 8,0 – 7,4 – 6,8 – 6,3 – 5,8 – 5,35 – 4,95 – 4,55 – 4,2 – 3,9 – 3,6 – 3,3 – 3,05 – 2,85 – 2,65 – 2,45 – 2,1 – 1,95 – 1,8 – 1,65mm (approx tolerance +/- 0,10mm.) wound in hanks with internal diameter 240mm.

Square wire with sharp edges (available in soft-annealed and semi-hard states) is available in sizes from 6mm to 1,50mm with 0,10mm intervals. (approx tolerance +/- 0,05mm)
